Cases in front of the DOJ against Musk companies are dropped. DOJ opens up operation whirlwind in which it will investigate anyone who criticizes the work of Musk and DOGE. So cases against Musk dropped, but those that criticize him are investigated.

Trump's Christmas message was truly inspiring
Before Nov 4th.
Restarting this as a new page to document the crazy things Trump has said in the 2024 campaign. Any of these would be disqualifying. Some are famous enough not to need citations.
On Haitians "They're eating the dogs. They're eating the cats. They're eating the pets of Springfield" - he said this live on a debate stage in front of 80 million viewers. It changed nothing.
On auto workers: "Mercedes Benz will start building in the United States, and they have a little bit. But you know what they really are? Assembly like in South Carolina. But they build everything in Germany and then they assemble it here. They get away with murder because they say oh yes we're building cars they don't build cars. They take them out of a box and they assemble them. Could have our child assemble them." Referring to auto workers as children at the Economic Club of Chicago.
On his childcare plan: When asked about his plan for childcare at the Economic Club of New York, he said to a round of applause: Well, I would do that, and we’re sitting down. You know, I was somebody — we had, Senator Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka, was so impactful on that issue. It’s a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I’m talking about — that, because look, child care is child care, couldn’t — you know, there’s something — you have to have it in this country. You have to have it. But when you talk about those numbers, compared to the kind of numbers that I’m talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they’re not used to. But they’ll get used to it very quickly. And it’s not going to stop them from doing business with us. But they’ll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country. Those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we’re talking about, including child care, that it’s going to take care. We’re going to have — I look forward to having no deficits within a fairly short period of time, coupled with the reductions that I told you about on waste and fraud and all of the other things that are going on in our country.Because I have to stay with child care. I want to stay with child care. But those numbers are small relative to the kind of economic numbers that I’m talking about, including growth, but growth also headed up by what the plan is that I just — that I just told you about. We’re going to be taking in trillions of dollars. And as much as child care is talked about as being expensive, it’s, relatively speaking, not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers will be taking in.We’re going to make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people. And then we’ll worry about the rest of the world. Let’s help other people. But we’re going to take care of our country first. This is about America first. It’s about make America great again. We have to do it because right now, we’re a failing nation. So we’ll take care of it. Thank you. Very good question. Thank you.
On how he knows how magnets work: "Now all I know about magnets is this, give me a glass of water, let me drop it on the magnets, that’s the end of the magnets.” - Mason City Iowa
On dressing: He claims he is asked how he puts his pants on in the morning to which he also says:Well, I don’t think about it too much.’ I don’t want to think about it because if I think about it too much maybe I won’t want to do it, but I love it because we’re going to do something for this country that’s never been done before. - Mason City Iowa
On Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War: I love studying. If you take a look at. I mean the wars. I don't know what it is. The Civil War was so fascinating, so horrible, was so horrible, but was so fascinating. It was uh, I don't know it was just different. I just find it. I'm so attracted to seeing it. So many mistakes were made. See there was something I think could have been negotiated to be honest with you. I think he could have negotiated that. All the people died. So many people died. You know that was the disaster. If you got hit by a bullet in the leg you were essentially going to die or lose the leg. That's why you had so many people with no legs no arms. If you got hit in the arm or the leg it meant you were over because the infection gangrene. It was just such a sort of a horrible time. But that's I was thinking to myself cause I was reading something and I said this is something that could have been negotiated. You know it was just for all those people to die, and they died viciously. That was a vicious vicious war. And uh... in many ways look they're all this nothing nice about it. Boy that was a tough one for our country. But I think it's uh, you know, Abraham Lincoln of course if he negotiated it you probably wouldn't even know who Abraham Lincoln was. Uhhhh... he would have been President, but he would have been President, he would have been, he wouldn't have been the Abraham Lincoln. He would have been different but that would have been okay. It's uhh. It would have been a thing and I know it very well. I know the whole process that they went through. And they just couldn't get along. That would have been something that could have been negotiated and they wouldn't have had that problem. But it was a hell of a time. - Jan 6, 2024
On batteries and sharks: I went to a boat company in South Carolina. The boat. I said how is it? He said "It's a problem sir. They want us to make all electric boats". So I said, ‘Let me ask you a question', and he [the guy who makes boats in South Carolina] said, ‘Nobody ever asked this question,’ and it must be because of MIT, my relationship to MIT —very smart. He goes, I say, What would happen if the boat sank from its weight? And you’re in the boat and you have this tremendously powerful battery and the battery is now underwater and there’s a shark that’s approximately 10 yards over there? By the way, a lot of shark attacks lately, do you notice that, a lot of sharks? he asked. I watched some guys justifying it today. ‘Well, they weren’t really that angry. They bit off the young lady’s leg because of the fact that they were, they were not hungry, but they misunderstood what who she was.’ These people are crazy. He said there’s no problem with sharks. ‘They just didn’t really understand a young woman swimming now.’ It really got decimated and other people do a lot of shark attacks. So I said, so there’s a shark 10 yards away from the boat, 10 yards or here, do I get electrocuted if the boat is sinking? Water goes over the battery, the boat is sinking. Do I stay on top of the boat and get electrocuted, or do I jump over by the shark and not get electrocuted? Because I will tell you, he didn’t know the answer. He said, ‘You know, nobody’s ever asked me that question.” I said, ‘I think it’s a good question.’ I think there’s a lot of electric current coming through that water. But you know what I’d do if there was a shark or you get electrocuted, I’ll take electrocution every single time. I’m not getting near the shark. So we’re going to end that. - June 10th 2024 in Nevada , a landlocked state with no sharks.
Then there's Hannibal Lecter - https://www.washingtonpost.com/video/politics/trump-keeps-talking-about-the-late-great-hannibal-lecter/2024/08/14/638eb545-60df-4b9c-98eb-352b2970459c_video.html
“Has anyone seen ‘The Silence of the Lambs’? The late, great Hannibal Lecter. He’d love to have you for dinner. That’s insane asylums. They’re emptying out their insane asylums.” - RNC 2024. Only 1% of those arrested at the southern border have criminal convictions. 86% of those caught smuggling fentanyl across the southern border are Americans.
Trump tries to explain why he brings up Hannibal Lecter. The set up is that immigrants are flooding the country and taking black and hispanic jobs. "So they're coming in, many are coming in from jails, prisons and mental institutions, insane asylums, that's like, you know, a step above right, insane asylum. And whenever I go um, Hannibal Lecter. You know what I'm talking about. They always go the fake news. That's a lot of fake news back there too (boos from crowd as he points to the press). They always mention you know its a way of demeaning, they'll say Hannibal Lecter why would he mention well you know why because he was a sick puppy and we have sick puppies coming into our country. I figure that's better than wasting a lot of words. Say Hannibal Lecter we don't want him but they always say, well why would he say that. I do it for a lot of reasons. But I do it because we are allowing some really bad people into our country and they are coming as terrorists, you know you saw the other day last month they had the record number of terrorists. I had a month, and I love Border Patrol. Did you see they gave me a full endorsement two days ago (crowd cheers). Border Patrol. The Border Patrol and they're they're great. You know they want to do their job. They don't want to let these people come in. They look at them, they can tell. They can look at someone say good bad. They say what's coming into our country now is having a huge negative impact on black families and hispanic families (possibly black/hispanic girl on stage nods along), and ultimately everybody." - 10/14/24 Oaks PA
On medical emergencies: ‘Would anybody else like to faint?’ - 10/14/24 Oaks PA. This rally required the doors be shut and it was so hot inside people were fainting. So he called for a doctor and stopped the Q&A and then asked if anyone else would like to faint. He later truthed that people fainted from excitement. "I had a Town Hall in Pennsylvania last night. It was amazing! The Q and A was almost finished when people began fainting from the excitement and heat." Once the last person was stretchered out, he then asked the crowd if they wanted more questions and they all cheered but he instead played music for the next 30 mins. Songs again included Ave Maria, Nothing Compares2U, Hallelujah, the F**king Catalina Wine Mixer song, and wrapped it up with the YMCA.
On Detroit: Trump, while in Detroit at the Economic Club said "Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she's your president" - 10/10/2024
On whatever this was at the Economic Club of Detroit: It’s so simple, you know. It isn’t like Elon with his rocket ships that land on the moon within 12 inches of where they want to land or he gets the engines back. That was the first, I really...I said 'who the hell did that.' I saw engines about three, four years ago. These things were coming, cylinders, no wings, no nothing, and they’re coming down very slowly, landing on a raft in the middle of the ocean someplace with a circle. Boom! Reminded me of the Biden circles that he used to have, right? [Gesticulates with right hand in an oddly circular motion.] He’d have eight circles, and he couldn’t fill them up. And then I heard that he beat us in the popular vote. But that...I don’t know, I don’t know. Couldn’t fill up the eight circles [Again, gesticulates with right hand in an oddly circular motion.] Couldn’t fill up the eight circles. I always loved those circles. They were so beautiful to look at. In fact, the person who did that, that was the best thing about his...the level of that circle was great. But they couldn’t get people, so they used to have the press stand in those circles, because they couldn’t get the people. Then I heard we lost. Oh, we lost. But we’re never going to let that happen again. We’ve been abused by other countries but we’ve been abused by our own politicians, really, more than other countries.
None of this mattered in the end he still won.
