Some of Trumps hires include people that have been investigated, indicted, charged, plead guilty or found guilty on criminal counts
- Paul Manafort, campaign manager- on trial for tax evasion, money laundering, acting as unregistered foreign agent on behalf of the Russian controlled Ukranian Government - update found guilty on 8 charges
- Rick Gates, campaign deputy - plead guilty to conspiracy against United States and making false statements. Also admitted committing several crimes while working for Manafort prior to the campaign.
- Michael Flynn, National Security Advisor - plead guilty to making false statements. Also failed to register as a foreign agent. He lied about contacting Russian officials prior to Trumps taking office
- Carter Page, Foreign Policy Advisor - previous target of Russian spies, the FBI had their eye on him since 2013. Very closely related with Russian government officials. No charges brought yet. Subject of a wiretap during the campaign.
- George Papadopoulos, foreign policy advisor. Tipped off Australia that Russia was getting dirt on Hillary Clinton. Australia promptly reported it to the FBI. Plead guilty to lying about his contacts with Russia during the campaign.
- Chris Collins, First Congressman to back Trump - arrested for insider trading
- Duncan Hunter, second Congressman to endorse Trump - indicted on charges stemming from using $250,000 of campaign money for his own and wife's personal expenses, including airfare for their rabbit to go on vacation in Italy.
- Michael Cohen, Trump's personal attorney - being investigated for tax fraud, possible campaign donation violations, and more...update, plead guilty to campaign finance violations, tax fraud and bank fraud and admitted doing so at the direction of Trump.
- Wilbur Ross, Secretary of Commerce - accused of stealing 120M from his business partners
Those that aren't criminally charged yet but resigned or were fired in disgrace
- Scott Pruitt, head of EPA - resigned in disgrace after it was discovered he was getting a sweetheart deal on an apartment from a lobbyist, used sirens to clear traffic in non emergencies, routinely flew to OK on the taxpayers dime, made his staff pay for some of his expenses, made his staff find his wife a Chik Fil A to buy, spent $42k on a soundproof booth and $1500 on two pens, increased staffers salaries by $57k and $23k, after the White House denied the increase,
- Tom Price, head of Dept Health - lost his job after spending $500k+ on charter flights
- Ryan Zinke, Secretary of the Interior - still in office, also abused travel by using helicopters to avoid traffic. Also connected to a "firm" that "won" a $300M contract to restore PRs power. The firm had two people working for it at the time. Remains in office.
- Steve Mnunchin, Treasury Secretary - used a military plane to go on his honeymoon (the guy is plenty rich and could afford his own jet), but remains in office
- David Schulkin, Sec of VA - lost his job after using tax payers money to go on a European Vacation
- Brenda Fitzgerald, head of CDC - lost her job after she invested in tobacco companies creating a conflict
- David Sorenson, Trump speech writer - resigned after allegations of spousal abuse were uncovered
- Rob Porter resigned after it was revealed he beat his wife. Chief of Staff John Kelly knew about the abuse for months but did nothing, prompting calls for his resignation as well.
- James Comey, Head of FBI - fired for not dropping case against Flynn and stopping Russian interference investigation (see Page/Popodopoulos)
